What if you could paint a portrait without using a single drop of paint?
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the beautiful and unconventional art of creating portraits with embroidery thread on delicate, transparent tulle. Using a needle much like a paintbrush, you’ll learn to build colour, create shadows, blend tones and bring a face to life through the simple act of stitching.

WHAT YOU’LL DISCOVER
How to work with tulle stretched in an embroidery hoop.
Techniques for creating painterly effects with embroidery thread.
Colour blending, shading and tonal contrast.
How to build facial features and details with stitches.
Ways to develop texture, depth and your own artistic expression.
NO PREVIOUS EMBROIDERY EXPERIENCE NEEDED
Whether you’re an experienced artist, a curious beginner or simply someone who loves making things by hand, this workshop offers an opportunity to slow down, experiment and discover a new creative process.
EVERYTHING IS PROVIDED
All the materials you need will be supplied, along with demonstrations, guidance and plenty of encouragement along the way.

Beginners through to experienced artists
Anyone wanting to paint iconography portraits and gold foil techniques.

Bookings are essential and places are limited to 8 participants.
Full payment of $150 is required at the time of booking to secure your place.
Once payment is received, your booking is confirmed.
Cancellations
Cancellations are not available, you may choose to transfer your place to another person or select another date to attend the workshop ( please send an email to discuss future possible workshops)

Once the workshop is full, a waitlist will be available.
If a place becomes available, it will be offered to people on the waitlist in order of sign-up (Please message/email me if the tickets have sold out on my website and ill add you to the waitlist.
